Laureth-4 is a polyoxyether of lauryl alcohol. In cosmetics, it is used as a cleansing agent or texture enhancer. Its unique chemical properties enable it to mix water and oils together. The most common application of Laureth-4 is in cosmetic oils and cream baths. In face cleansing oils, it acted as an emulsifier. When rub upon the face, it creates a milky emulsion which eventually rinsed away the dirt or make up on our face. It is also a surfactant in cleansing product such as facial foam. It creates less bubbly product with good and nice cleansing effect that leave the skin feeling silky smooth. Laureth-4 has its wide application in cosmetics and skin care products. It can be added in face mask, bath oils, and bath bombs as well.
